SMS via mail

SMS Submit offers the possibility to send SMS via e-mail and also to forward incoming SMS as e-mail. This enables easy sending of SMS from any e-mail client as well as easy integration with applications already capable of sending e-mail.

Each customer is assigned a unique domain, i.e. "company.skickasms.se", and can send SMS from any e-mail client by sending to an address in the domain. SMS Submit uses a MIME parser to extract the text version of the message and forward this as SMS.

Delivery reports via e-mail is supported.

Distribution lists

When sending SMS via e-mail it is easy to use distribution lists so that an e-mail to one recipient (the distribution list address) will generate SMS to multiple recipients. Distribution lists can include both SMS recipients and e-mail recipients.

Alias

In the same way as distribution lists are used it is possible to use an alias for a single SMS recipient. For example john@company.skickasms.se can correspond to 0701234567@company.skickasms.se.

Easy maintenance

Distribution lists and aliases are easily maintained using a web interface.

Incoming SMS

Incoming SMS can be forwarded as e-mail to a specified e-mail address. This e-mail address can of course be an alias mapped to multiple recipients making it possible to distribute incoming SMS to multiple e-mail and SMS recipients.
